A-dec First Impressions | Kalihi-Palama Health Center Customer Story

My name is Keith Larson, I'm the Dental Director for Kalihi-Palama Health Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. I've worked here for about 15 years. I've worked in dental public health for about 30 years.

The vision and goals for opening this practice was really to expand the access for the population we serve, which is we're a safety net clinic. There's a super high need in the community, there's a high disease rate. And this clinic helped us, you know, provide more services. The important elements that we're looking for in our design was, like, an efficient workflow. So, some of the other clinics we have are not so efficient, so we wanted to start from the ground up here to make sure we had a good workflow for efficiency.

We selected the equipment for this clinic, based on kind of we've used A-dec before. They're very responsive and we're happy with the equipment that we've used in the past, so that's why we chose A-dec. In dentistry, the technology is always changing and A-dec really helped. We were able to get some state-of-the-art air purifiers and also select the most modern equipment, so we're kind of keeping up to date with everything for our clinic. This clinic build-out really helped our practice. It's helping it grow and also during the pandemic, it allowed us to spread out a little bit more and it's increasing access to care for those who really need it.
